1969 Fender Telecaster - Black
So this officially is one of the coolest Telecasters we've had so far. Black with rosewood neck. The dark side of the Telecaster... what a KILLER looking axe. Black is always beautiful, especially old black finish. The almost piano black looking finish was applied on an alder instead of ash body - look all custom colors on a Telecaster. This gives it a distinctive tone in combination with the rosewood neck. No harsh highs at all. The black finish is super rare in the 60s, even in 69. Being an early 69 model it still has the open routing channel and the rosewood neck has the skunk stripe. The neck heel has the typical 68-style 3 digit code, the serial is still in the late 1968 range, the pickguard is pearl underneath, the neck date is February 69. The bridge pickup has been rewound and measures a hot 8K but that doesn't harm the sound at all. There are remains of several stickers visible only in UV light, a few "stars" have been on that guitar for a couple of years for sure. There are two black touch ups on the bottom where the guitar usually shows wear from rubbing on the case - but also almost invisible if not viewing at the guitar in UV light. Nice big neck - overall just a super cool Telecaster. And...it's Black. Find another one! Comes incl. original case.
