1968 Gretsch 6137 White Falcon / Stereo Model

1968 Gretsch G6137 White Falcon Stereo model in very good+ condition. The pickguard is a newer replacement, otherwise it’s all original. This was the Gretsch “top of the line” guitar advertised as “The Ultimate Guitar” in the Gretsch catalog back then. Made in Brooklyn, NY with the “Pre-Baldwin” features. The 2 Filterton pickups are split in Bass and Treble side and are adjustable independetly by 3-way Bass and Treble side tone-color switches – this delivers not less than 54 (!) tone-color combinations. The guitar is pretty clean but shows some playwear and the typical brittle binding at some spots and the headstock shows the also typical slightly opened vertical glue seam from the shrunken front veneer. This has been checked carefully by our master luthier and it’s 100% stable and doesn’t move at all. Great sounding and playing guitar with great looks and vibe! Comes incl. original Gretsch hardshell case and original matching strap!
