1968 Gibson ES-335 TD Stoptail Conversion – Cherry

First of all: this is an exceptionally good guitar. It sounds terrific! Beautiful 1968 Gibson ES-335 TD converted to stoptail – its been done long ago with the correct distance between tailpiece and bridge which is rare – usually those conversions are wrong. The stoptail is original period correct late 60s! The ABR bridge saddles are newer and there is a touched up spot on the back of the neck. Also, the bottom of the guitar has kind if a brushed red color and missing clear coat. We assume it was a moisture damage on the lacquer that has been repaired long ago. It’s only on the bottom side, not on back or top of the guitar. Two patent sticker humbuckers (bridge cover was off at some point). It’s been refretted with jumbo frets. Other than that its original and looks super ice, strong Cherry color, nice neck – of course one-piece mahogany, no volute and no “Made In USA” stamp – a real 60s guitar! Comes incl. original case.
