Short-lived Leslie-effect/speaker cabinet made by Fender from 1967-1972, which can add an phasing/chorus effect to your amplifiers output. Unlike other Leslies, the Vibratone has an rotating drum mounted in front of an internal speaker and does not contain an amplifier! It is used as an extension speaker-cabinet to your main amplifier. The advantage, besides the unique sound ist, less weight and you can use your personal amp, dosn´t matter if its a Fender combo or a 100 Watt Marshall Plexi! Most famous user of the Fender Vibratone is propably Stevie Ray Vaughan, but the list of famous users and the songs recorded with a Fender Vibratone is endless, ...Pink Floyd´s David Gilmour used one for over 25 years, as well as Peter Frampton and Joe Bonamassa. This Vibratone cabinet is in excellent condition and works great, it can be operated with two different speeds and the internal speaker has a handling capacity of up to 100 Watt! The unit comes with the original footswitch and all cables for operation needed. It is the rare export-version for use on 240 Volt.
