1968 Fender Telecaster – Blond – John Birch

Amazing player right here! This is a superb sounding 1968 Fender Telecaster that was refretted and “upgraded” by the Birmingham/UK luthier John Birch in 1974. John Birch is famous for building SG style guitars for Tony Iommi and working for Brian May or Ritchie Blackmore. He put on a set of handmade bridge saddles and put on his own Fender and “John Birch” logo after refret and refinishing the neck. The guitar was owned by a musician who purchased it new in 1968 for 168 GBP and played it throughout his whole career for GIs in Germany before he sold it recently. The body has the original finish, the bridge pickup was dead when we got it and it has been rewound by Andreas Kloppmann in Germany. The pots have been changed. This is a killer Tele with big tone! Comes incl. original manual with matching serial, bridge cover and newer case.
