1967 Gibson ES-335 TD Stoptail Conversion
Cherry
Art.Nr. GI67ES335TDC056724
1967 Gibson ES-335 – converted to stoptail for tone. One of the coolest ES-335s we’ve ever had. This guitar has seen the rock and the roll – it’s been played for decades and has been someone’s close companion – as you can tell by just looking at it! Covered with heavy weather checking, strong elbow wear where even the binding has smoothened out and has been rounded by the forearm. There is a small (typical) repair around the output jack with a 1977 Roosevelt Dime coin. The guitar is in original condition, besides the bridge humbucker may have a newer baseplate but the coils, bobbins and wire are original. The stoptail is a vintage late 60s long seam chrome aluminum stoptail (basically it would have come from the factory with this exact part!) and the bridge the original chrome patent number version. The tuners are new repros. Other than that it’s original which is actually not what you’d expect for a guitar that has been played that much! Guitar comes in newer case.
