1966 Fender Stratocaster – 3t-Sunburst

Cool 1966 Fender Stratocaster in 3-tone Sunburst finish, all original and in great condition for a 51(!) year old guitar. The first year for the Stratocaster with the big CBS-headstock, this is one of the earliest models featuring a Neck-date stamp 13 JAN 66 B and potcodes of 14th week of 1965. The guitar has been played, so there is some playwear, mostly laquer wear on the backside of the neck and body but no bigger damages or repairs, everything is factpory stock, never had a 5-way switch or different tuners mounted, all untouched solderjoints! All 3 CTS pots are stamped 137.65.14 (14th week of 1965), the three original "grey-bottom" pick-ups are well balanced with outputs of 5,65K, 5,79K and 5,46K and also dated to early 1966. The neck has a medium size C-profile and is very comfortable to play. Comes in its orig. black Fender Tolex case with orange plush interior.
