1966 Fender Coronado I – Sunburst

All original 1966 Fender Coronado I in Sunburst finish. This guitar is excellent condition, it’s got barely any visible wear, a few small dings and dongs but overall it’s exceptionally clean. There is a “SPECIAL” stamp on the back of the headstock – Fender used these guitars for promotion. The Coronados were a big thing back then and Fender did massive promotion. This “Fender un-like” instrument was designed by Roger Rossmeisl who formerly designed Instruments for Rickenbacker. The Coronado was Fenders attempt to come with a semi-acoustic guitar as Gibsons ES-models, but didn´t succeed and where discontinued after beeing on the market for only 2 years. Very nice guitar, comfortable to play and the DeArmond pickup sound great! Comes in a black case.
