Clean 1965 Gibson Firebird III Non-Reverse in original Pelham Blue finish in excellent condition! All original guitar in the rare custom color Pelham Blue – first year of production. It has minimal play wear and some dings and dongs. The original Pelham Blue finish is vibrant and intact and has turned into a more greenish look over the years, with beautiful patina and minimal checking. The mahogany neck is straight and comfortable. The bound rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays is clean and well preserved. Original frets are in excellent condition with plenty of life left. The three P‑90 pickups are strong, clear, and well balanced, producing the classic Firebird punch and articulation. The original tuners are in great shape, and the original strap buttons are perfect. The guitar plays and sounds fantastic, with ideal action and neck angle, offering the unmistakable tone of a first-year 1965 Firebird.
This 1965 Firebird III Non-Reverse is all original – all hardware, electronics, pickups, and finish remain exactly as they left the Kalamazoo factory. Comes incl. its original Gibson case with yellow interior. One latch is broken but the case is still in perfect working order. The loose latch comes in the case.
