1965 Fender Stratocaster – Sunburst

This 1965 Stratocaster has been purchased from a german music store in the 70s and has been played almost daily until we bought it from it’s second owner. What a great sounding and feeling guitar, one of the very last ones with the “L” serial number back plate and small headstock. Since it’s been a real working horse instrument there a couple of changed parts the guitar received during the years – none of these are major, just the stuff that needs to be changed in service when these guitars were still only “tools”: There have been different tuners installed but the originals are back on with adaptor bushings, two new pots, changed CTS switch, 2 filled string tree holes, new strap pins and the pickguard has filled holes from a “special switching” the first owner installed (you turn each pickup on and off individually). The holes have been filled by our luthier with original vintage material. Other than that it’s original, no oversprays or refinished parts, great neck and TONE! You can tell why it’s been loved so much. It really sings!
