1965 Fender Mustang - Red
Clean 1965 Fender Mustang in great condition. The Red finish on this one looks very vibrant - pretty cool 1965 version of the Mustang. Unfortunately the original neck plate is gone, there is one without the serial number installed - however it's easy to date it to 1965 since neck and pots both are dated 1965 so it likely had an L serial number. Its one of the necks with the slab rosewood board instead of the laminate. One switch has been replaced which is actually the weak point of these models, the slide switch mostly is the first thing that fails in function due to dirt and dust. The original switch comes with the guitar. The tremolo arm is missing - we've never heard of a player using the tremolo on a Mustang anyway - looks much nicer than it works and adds some special weight to the tone! Don't et this wrong - Mustangs are uber-cool. We love this guitar since it's a nice playing and sounding example! Comes in newer case.
