1965 Epiphone Newport Bass Cherry

1965 Epiphone Newport Bass Cherry incl. original hardshell case

Great sounding 1965 Epiphone Newport Bass in great condition. It has a lot of weather checking which adds some serious mojo! The Newport bass was built between 1961 and 1969 in the Gibson Kalamazoo factory. This fine example is very lightweight with only 3,14Kg and has a powerful pickup with 26K. The solid mahogany body with set mahogyn neck and rosewood fingerboard delivers a great warm midrangy tone. The hardware is equal to the Gibson EB-0 and this 1965 version already has the big "batwing" headstock that was introduced in 1964. The finger rest is missing. Including original Epiphone hardshell case.
