1964 Gibson Melody Maker Double Cut – Sunburst

Extremely clean 1964 Gibson Melody Maker in Sunburst finish. One of the last Doublecut versions, the second of the four Melody Makers designs, before Gibson switched to the teardrop shape in Cherry. This guitar might be the perfect example of the one pickup version of this model: crazy clean, big neck shape, wide nut width, all original, including some case candy and the original alligator case. Resonant guitar, great twang of course …it’s the same wood as all the other Gibsons from the last year of the golden era.
