Late 1964 Fender Stratocaster in Sunburst finish. Transitional logo, still the clay dots and “Greenguard”. The guitar is clean besides three touch-ups on the upper horn and the armrest and on the lower treble side. The neck is worn, the finish is almost completely missing and feels super nice. The guitar had the Fender “bodyguard” installed for a long time which is the reason why the finish on the back is still pretty much intact although it has been played a lot. You can see the typical imprints of the bodyguard in the finish around the body. October 1964 neck date the profile is a bit on the slimmer side of that era but feels really nice. All parts are original, the three grey bottom pickups have the correct plain enamel wire and are dated to November 1964. The solders on the volume pot have been redone and there is a small mark between middle and bridge pickup that could be a (filled) hole but its hard to tell. Other than that its original. The guitar sounds great! All three positions! Comes with a new case.
