1963 Gibson Byrdland – Factory Refin in 1973

This is a very special guitar we brought from Florida! A 1963 Gibson Byrdland that has been sent back to Gibson in 1972 for repair and refin. This alone would not be special BUT it comes with all the documentation and original letters from the factory…its all there! The former and actually first and original owner who is living in Florida sent the guitar to Gibson in 1973 for a repair of some cracks around the input jack and full refin. The guitar also received new parts because most have have been heavily worn: new pickup covers “unit covers” and polepiece screws – which means the pickups are still the highly desired 1963 post PAF patent number pickups, new “fingerrest parts”, new bridge and Byrdland tailpiece. Besides that everything else remained original 1963. The guitar sounds really good, its such a nice guitar! Nicely figure maple back and neck, factory stinger and ebony fretboard. Comes incl. its original black case with yellow plush.
