1962 Fender Stratocaster - Sunburst

Super clean early 1962 Slabboard Stratocaster in excellent++ condition. This Strat is just crazy clean... the bridge pickup has been rewound long ago - other than that it's in original condition. It's an early 1962 model that still has the highly desired slab rosewood board, the thicker fretboard that gives those guitars a certain sound that many players and collectors love! The guitar has no neck/body date - a missing body date is normal in this period and we've had a couple of early 1962 Strats with that "feature". Fender changed the way they dated the necks in March 1962 when they stopped pencil-dating the end of the necks in favor to use the date stamps with individual numbers for each model. This guitar, having pot codes that read 304.62.09, was built around this period and likely just fell in between that dating methods. However, it's a fully authentic 1962 Stratocaster in museum grade condition with a nice big and full neck profile! Comes incl. all that case candy, manual, strap, bridge cover... all you would expect.
