1961 Gibson J-200 – Natural

Beautiful 1961 Gibson J-200 in rare Natural finish. Gibsons most iconic acoustic guitar also called “King of flattops”. This instrument has been played, so there is some minor playwear, but the overall condition is excellent! The guitar is all original besides a small binding repair on the bass side of the neck and a re-glued bridge it has no cracks or other damages. The orange label is missing but it’s relatively easy to date it between 1960 – 1961 due to the missing serial on the headstock (pre 62) and the factory Grover tuners that appeared in 1959 and the ABR bridge was introduced in early 1960. The neck is not too thin, rather full and feels really nice! The body and neck is made of highly flamed maple and looks amazing. The sound is huge and massive, one of the best sounding examples we´ve heard so far.  Incl. orig. brown Gibson hardshell case with pink interior.
