1960 Gibson ES-345 TD Sunburst

We purchased this wonderful 1960 Gibson ES-345 from it’s second owner from Sweden who had it for 50(!) years. He constantly played it and you can tell why… its such a nice and resonant guitar! A true survivor… It has a super old headstock repair, probably even before it was purchased 50 years ago and some light worn off overspray on the back of the neck. The output jack has a big metal washer due to some old repair. Its been converted to Grovers long ago. The wiring has been redone since the original wire of the ES345/355 models usually becomes brittle and causes shorts. It’s a very common thing. Other than that, which are typical mods and repairs of a guitar that has been played its in original condition. The pickup covers of the two original long magnet PAFs were missing so we added a set of Crazyparts aged covers. There are pictures where you can see the open coils too. We took of the Varitone (comes with the guitar) and wired in mono – which makes it a 335 basically. It’s a chance to get a golden era ES model with PAFs , the desired long pickguard, non wire ABR-1 and factory stoptail that sounds as good as they gets – thats the holy grail tone of Gibson guys! Typical 1960 slimmer neck profile and brand new frets! Comes in late 1970s case.
