1960 Fender Telecaster – Blond

Beautiful 1960 slabboard Telecaster in Blonde finish and in great condition. One of a very few slabboard Teles we had in the past years. Robben Ford brought those Teles up the last yeras – this one is only 52 digits away from his one! It has some honest wear but no too much – just enough to give it the perfect look and feel! It’s all original besides it has been changed to modern wiring (no dark circuit), a removed second string tree and it one had other tuners installed. It’s a very early 1960 model, actually built in 1959…the body is dated 1/60 in the bridge pickup cavity and of course no neck date from the second half of 1959 and beginning of 1960. The capacitor is a period correct Astron and the pots are CTS, also correct for this period. The pickups read relatively hot and sound amazing! It appears that after the finish of the back of the neck had worn off it might have been oiled or sanded a bit at some point which makes it feel very smooth. There was no wood taken off for sure. Comes incl. original brown Fender case.
