Clean and almost unfaded 1959 Gibson Les Paul Special in Cherry finish in excellent condition. Unlike 90% of its species this guitar doesn’t have any crack – yes – no heel crack, no “hairline crack”, no “stress crack” or whatever: it’s crack free! The is the second version of the Doublecut Les Paul Special, the first one had a different pot/switch layout and the later ones had the neck pickup moved towards the bridge pickup for a better neck tenon stability BUT for the lack of neck pickup tone. Those Specials with the neck P90 soapbar sitting directly on the fingerboard have a unique warm tone and a not comparable to later versions! Killer guitar, especially in this condition. Big 1959 neck and hot P90s! Comes with newer case.
