Wonderful 1959 Gibson Les Paul Custom “Black Beauty” in classic Ebony finish. This guitar has been professionally refretted – a major improvement if you actually intend to play it. The original “fretless wonder” frets were so low that bending strings was a real challenge. Aside from a replaced switch tip the guitar is all original. It shows some honest playwear: light checking, a few dings and dongs, and some worn-off clear coat on the back of the neck and on a small spot on the top – but overall, it’s in remarkably clean condition. The solder joints are untouched, and all three original PAF humbuckers have never had their covers removed, each reading well over 8K. It’s a lightweight example at just 4.08 kg (9.0 lbs), and the neck? That iconic ’59 profile everyone raves about – it’s all here. Comes incl. original case.
