1959 Gibson J-200 - Sunburst

1959 Gibson J-200 - Sunburst incl. orig. brown Gibson hardshell case

Beautiful 1959 Gibson J-200 in Sunburst finish, in all original and very good condition for its age. Probably Gibsons most iconic acoustic guitar also called "King of flattops". This instrument has been played, so it has some minor playwear, but it is all original and has no cracks or other damages, the frets have been professionally renewed and are in great condition. An built-in bridge-pu-system has been added, with vol-control and outlet in the endpin, which always reversible. Besides some typical weatherchecking on the original finish, there is only some little finish touch-up in front of the bridge. The body and neck is made of highly flamed maple, especially the neck looks amazing. The neck has a big C-shaped profile, not chunky but still comfortable to play. The sound is huge and massive, full and rich, but never muddy! The tips of the original tuners are shrunken, but staple and work. On request we can re-tip the tuners or throw in a set of Kluson reissues! Incl. orig. brown Gibson hardshell case with orange interior and an appraisal from Gibson from 1987.
