1958 Gibson Les Paul Standard Goldtop P90
Very rare and clean 1958 Gibson Les Paul Goldtop Darkback with factory P90 pickups in excellent condition! We assume that the guitar was built in early 1957 but was painted, equipped and serialized in 1958. The low logo position and of course the P90 pickups lead to a younger production date but the pots and serial number are clearly 1958. The laqcuer is in outstanding clean condition and the guitar has only some minor playwear and weatherchecking. The back and neck might have been refinished long ago but it blacklights correctly and the serial number looks authentic as well. The only really worn part is the small spot where the forearm touches the guitar on the top. The guitar was "Groverized" once and is now equipped with repro-Klusons. The jackplate has been renewed as well. The pot codes are 134839 (39th week of 1958) and it also has the peroid correct bumblebee capacitors. Its an oustanding sounding and playing guitar - very resonant with crystal clear and transparent highs. Comes including original hardshell case.
