1958 Gibson Les Paul Standard Goldtop
Art.Nr. GI58LPGT83833
A Burst with Gold paint? Clean and lightweight 1958 Gibson Les Paul Standard in excellent condition. The last incarnation of the Les Paul just before Gibson changed the color from Gold to Sunburst – or actually when they already produced Sunburst Les Pauls. The serial number 8 3833 is right in the range of the first 1958 „Bursts“ and makes this guitar technically a Burst with Gold paint. This guitar has been in Europe since the 70s and the former owner had the back of the neck oversprayed in the early 80s. Also, he replaced 3 tuner tips with Uncle Lou replicas and changed the jack plate. There is a small touch up beneath the E/A tuners on the headstock and around the lower bridge post. Other than that everything else is 100% original. It’s very lightweight with only 3,8kg and has two sweet sounding PAF humbuckers that measure 7,53K (B) and 7,83K (N). The 4 Centralab pots are dated 134.8.08 (8th week of 1958).It’s been refretted with Jumbo frets. This is the pinnacle of the Les Paul history through and through, plays and sounds as good as it looks and is right in line with all the glamorous Bursts out there. Comes in it’s original Gibson/Stone brown case.
