1958 Gibson Les Paul Standard – Goldtop

Wonderful early 1958 Gibson Les Paul Goldtop in excellent condition. This beauty is all original besides it once had Grovers and was equipped with a Bigsby – leaving three holes on the bottom that have been professionally filled – but no holes on the top. Fortunately this Bigsby was the version with the felt instead of screws. Pickups have been out at some point and the covers have been off – we checked them of course and both are the correct and original long magnet PAFs. The 58 Goldtops are actually amongst the rarest production Les Pauls ever made. Those PAF equipped Goldtops have been made for like one year in total and Gibson made like 750 of them – which means it only 50% of the Sunburst Les Paul production. In 1958 Gibson shipped 434 Les Pauls which make 1958 PAF Goldtops the rarest of them. This is a super nice example with just the right amount of wear. Great feeling neck and that tone we all are after! Comes incl. it’s original brown Lifton case.
