1956 Gretsch 6196 Country Club – Cadillac Green

Beautiful 1956 Gretsch 6196 Country Club in Cadillac Green finish and in excellent condition. There is a small touch up on the neck heel, likely to cover a hole from a former strap pin but otherwise it’s extremely clean and barely ever played, finish intact, no binding issues. The first version of the Melita bridge with bakelite posts. The pots have been changed to old Centralabs but a little later versions and the wiring has been replaced (the insulation of the factory wiring becomes very brittle and falls apart over time). Comes incl. original (later) Gretsch case.
