1956 Gibson Les Paul Standard – Goldtop

Clean 1956 Gibson Les Paul Standard Goldtop in excellent condition and – besides a changed switch tip – all original. This is the one, the ABR/stoptail equipped last incarnation of the Les Paul with dual P90 layout. This 56 Goldtop is still pretty clean, only some minor wear, especially for a Goldtop. The neck shape is super nice, with a hint of a V, not big, just right. It still has the original frets and shows some wear on the fretboard, low action and it plays great. This guitar sings! Super resonant with big tone, just as would expect it from a true dream guitar – a real 56 Goldtop. The pot codes read 134.5.42 (42nd week of 1955), the weight is perfect with 4,18kg and the two original untouched P90s read 7,5K(N) and 7.6K(B) and sound very balanced. Great investment – wonderful instrument. Comes in original brown Lifton case.
