1956 Gibson Les Paul Goldtop “Darkback”

1956 Gibson Les Paul Goldtop in excellent condition and nice lightweight. The guitar is original except for a professional refret and a thin and old overspray on the back of the neck. This is the desired and rare “darkback” version with that nice contrast of a dark stained mahogany back and the beautiful gold top. It also has unique features like the black backplates and the yellow ink serial number. It’s been a while since we had the queen of all P-90 Les Pauls, the 56 ABR-1/Stoptail Les Paul Goldtop. It’s got a super nice neck, the overspray is super thin and only covers the neck, not the headstock or heel. It’s almost invisible, but you can clearly see a thin layer of clear coat over the former worn areas. Anyway, this is a super nice example that plays as good as it looks! Comes incl. it’s original brown Gibson Stone case.
