1956 Fender Stratocaster – Sunburst

Some guitars just immediately catch your attention. You pick them up, feel the neck and immediately fall in love. Then you plug it in.. and you keep playing it for hours (well… if they let you). This is such a guitar. It’s a 1956 Fendern Stratocaster. Body and neck, both dated 12/56. The perfect neck. Big fat strong V. Deep body contours, the nicest bodies Fender ever did are just in that period. The smooth shape is just different than earlier and later on. The guitar has quite some history: It has been routed for 2 switches and another pot – as you can see when you look at the original pickguard – which is included but a repor is installed to make it look right. The neck and middle pickup are original, the bridge pickup has been rewound. Only the bridge pickup cover is original, the rest of the plastic parts is newer.All pots and the switch are not original. There have been Schallers installed but now there are repro Klusons installed. The finish is still fully original, so is the Fender decal – thats the most important of course. Tremolo is also original. All important parts are there and guys… this thing just sings. Its one of the best 50s Strat we’ve ever had. The frets were worn out so our luthier refretted it with 6105. It’s ready for another lifetime. Someone has to play that thing! Comes incl. vintage Ess&Ess case which fits perfect.
