1956 Fender Stratocaster Hardtail – Sunburst

One of the coolest Strats we’ve ever had… this early 1956 Hardtail is the definition of a “road survivor”! We bought it from it’s former owner, a musician who bought in 40 years ago in Los Angeles and played it ever since. He toured around the world and even played as support for Rory Gallagher who almost ended up buying the guitar from him…well now we did. It’s an early 56 model, means it a still has a (one-piece!) ash body and a nice big V neck shape. Of course it’s not in 100% original condition, decades on the road left their scars. Two pickups have been rewound, two pots have been changed, there is a small route in the middle pickup cavity and there is a repaired and stable crack on the neck heel – who cares? It works perfectly fine and sounds AMAZING! The former owner stated he checked out dozens of 50s Strats all over the US before he found this one. We believe him. Comes incl. later tweed case.
