1952 Gibson Les Paul Goldtop

Beautiful first year 1952 Gibson Les Paul “Regular” in excellent condition. Clean example that actually plays extremely nice with the Music City bridge! The original bridge design was faulty and almost not playable even to “vintage” standard since it was not possible to rest the palm on the bridge or dampen the strings. This is why there are a few nice working solutions like the Music City or Mojoaxe bridge that work without harming the guitar by drilling holes on the top. Sometimes the shallow neck angle of the 52/53 Les Pauls cause a high string action even with those new bridges but this one in particular has a super low action and plays great- even with the original tiny frets! Super nice neck profile, not huge, rather a bit of a V-ish shape – very comfortable. The guitar is all original with untouched solder joints, there was another tailpiece installed once, there are 4 additional holes on the bottom but no holes on the top. Only two holes are visible – no big deal! Great weight and super balanced sound! All in all it is a very good example of a 52 Les Paul that makes you smile the moment you start to play! Comes incl. original 4-latch Lifton case.
