1950 Fender Broadcaster - Blond
The holy grail of the Blackguard, the mother of all electric guitars: The Fender Broadcaster - the first year of the electric guitar! This wonderful example has been featured in our friend Nacho Baños legendary book "The Blackguard Book" with all internal pictures and details - which is a great provenance for sure. It's been also owned by Joe Bonamassa and comes with that mandatory inventory hangtag on the case handle. A true piece of music history - actually a treasure that defined our modern music culture… so much more than just a guitar. This instrument is super super lightweight and all original besides it's been oversprayed with clear coat at some point in it's history on body and neck and the back of the body has been lightly sanded before the overspray. Especially the front shows that typical brittle finish these early Broadcasters are known for. All parts are original, both pickups have such a sweet tone! The guitar sounds really good, extremely resonant and lively. The neck feels super nice too, a bit on the thinner side but growing towards the body and with that great rounded fingerboard edges. Comes in it's original thermometer case.
