This a gem of a guitar… a true survivor. When you strum the first chord on this 1949 Gibson Southern Jumbo you know why it looks the way it looks. It’s magical! Lightweight guitar, big neck, very responsive, super fast attack. It’s like a built in loudspeaker – that tone only these old guitars have. It has quite some wear, it’s not clean by any means. There are two filled holes in the top, some repaired cracks but it’s been checked by our luthier. The neck has not been reset yet, the action is good up to the 12th fret.
