1946 Gibson L-5 Archtop

This 1946 Gibson L-5 really blew us away. We purchased it from the family of it's former caretaker who owned it for a long time. It had one string and the pickguard came in the case. We carefully cleaned it and brought it back to life...when we played the first chord the whole store freaked out: it's got such a big loud voice, even with flatwounds it's just amazing. It's the fully acoustic version of the L-5, of course completely solid woods, breathtaking maple back and sides and spruce top. strong color, old script logo, just before they switched to the new logo. Great string action and playability! You will not find this often for sure! Incl. original case.
