1946 Gibson ES-300 - Sunburst

Beautiful and clean 1946/1947 Gibson ES-300 in excellent condition. The guitar is all original besides the pickguard - our luthier hand-made a custom pickguard for the guitar and the remains of the original one come in the case. The 17" body ES-300 with P-90 neck pickup was introduced in 1946 and this one still has the pre-war script logo which Gibson stopped using within 1947. The guitar has no FON number but with the old style logo it's clear that it's been made before end of 1947. The guitar has an amazing figured maple body with beautiful Sunburst finish, great pronounced carving and only very minor wear, some small dings and dongs and the typical weather checking. The neck is really as big as it gets - almost 45mm(!) nut width and a big D profile. This is also part of it's big sound for sure! Comes in it's original brown case.
