A rare Boston-built archtop from one of the great names in American guitar making! This 1945 Stromberg G-1, serial number 526, comes in classic Sunburst and represents the instruments that earned Charles A. Stromberg & Son their reputation among professional jazz guitarists. Working from their small Boston workshop, Charles and Elmer Stromberg built guitars for an era when acoustic projection really mattered. A rhythm guitarist had to hold his own alongside horns and drums, and that demanding musical environment shaped the Stromberg approach. It’s been inspected carefully by our luthier Mathias Schindehütte. A vintage archtop with real history, from a maker whose instruments remain an important part of the American jazz guitar story.
