1944 Gibson L-7 – Sunburst
A stunning piece of Gibson craftsmanship: Super clean war-time L-7 archtop acoustic. The L-7 was introduced in 1933 and has a spruce top, 17“ size maple body (this one has stunning figuring on back and sides) and a mahogany neck. Basically a more plain version of the L-5 but still with beautiful inlays on the headstock and fretboard. Really big neck! There is a stable crack on the lower side – typical for an instrument that old. The pickguard is a newer replacement, also very typical beuase the fall apart during the years. Very nice and collectible guitar. Comes incl. original case!
