1944 Gibson J-45 Banner – Sunburst

Only a Gibson is good enough. This a 1944-46 “Banner” J-45 is a perfect example of what made the J-45 such a famous and sought after guitar! Simply a wonderful sounding instrument that makes you smile every time you pick it up. It’s got a great balanced tone, just 100% Gibson. It’s got a mahogany top, back sides and a wonderful big mahogany neck – it’s a guitar with adjustable trussrod so it’s not the huge baseball bat, it’s rather comfortable. The earlier models have no trussrod due to war time restrictions so we date this guitar to 44-46 (when the “banner” disappeared) – the FON number is not visible. The guitar has a few repaired cracks on the sides and an old heel repair and neck reset. Plays great and is simply addictive! Comes incl. newer case.
