1931 Gibson L-0 - Natural
1931 Gibson L-0 All-mahogany - Natural incl. original case
Third generation 1931 Gibson L-0 flattop acoustic guitar in good condition. At some point in late 1930 Gibson changed the body shape of the L-series guitars completely to match the style of the L-2 that has been introduced in 1929. This guitar has still the 12-fret neck joint which was changed in 1932 so it's a rare bird which existed for about 1 year only. It shares the body wood specs of it's ancestor, such as an all-mahogany body and neck, rosewood fretboard and bridge and an ebony nut. The FON on the neck heel reads 9873 which proves it to be a 1931 L-0 according to the Gibson factory ledgers. The guitar has a couple repaired cracks on the body (which is absolutely common for a guitar that is 90 years old and especially with the ultra-thin body wood) but it was carefully checked by our luthier and everything is stable. The guitar sounds and plays incredible and resonates like a loudspeaker! The neck is very comfortable, just like it was made for you - round but not too big. Comes including original case.
