1929 Gibson L-0 All-mahogany – Natural
1929 Gibson L-0 All-mahogany – Natural incl. original case
Wonderful sounding and playing 1929 Gibson L-0 flattop acoustic guitar in great condition – basically a natural colored version of the famous Robert Johnson guitar! The L-series flattops L-0 and L-1 first appeared in 1925 as entry level guitars. This L-0 already has the specs of the improved second model generation that has been introduced in 1928 such as all-mahogany body and neck, rosewood fretboard, ebony nut and a shorter rosewood bridge. The FON on the neck heel reads 9375 which is proves it to be a 1929 L-0 according to the Gibson factory ledgers. After 1930 the L-0 body shape changed drastically so this truly is a rare snapshot of guitar history! The guitar sounds and plays like a dream, the neck is round and full but not to big and feels just right. It has some minor repairs – a pro repaired very small crack on the side that's almost unvisible but otherwise it's in stunning condition for a 90(!!!) year old guitar. Comes including original softcase.
