1973 Gibson EB-4L Bass – Cherry incl. orig. Gibson case

Rare 1973 Gibson EB-4L long-scale bass, all original and in excellent condition. The Gibson EB4l came out in1972 with the new designed “Super humbucker” pick up, Tone-selector switch and its´s long scale and was Gibsons attempt to bring the EB-O bass into the 70s. The newly designed “Super humbucker” with 4 individuell coils, one around each coil. This new design seperates the top two strings completely from the lower set of strings and the tone-selector switch allowed them to be heard in series, series/paralell and series/paralell plus tone-choke. The EB-4L bass is very versatile and sounds much more natural with more highs and overtones then the regular EB-0, ytill with a lot of punch and sustain. Comes in its original black Gibson hardshell case with violet interior.
