Nice 1964 Gibson ES-335 TDC in Cherry finish in great condition. The guitar has a professional headstock repair and the neck has been oversprayed subsequently. It’s the sought after factory stoptail version and of course a “Clapton-year” guitar. The stoptail is a later 60s chrome version instead of nickel and the tuners have been changed to 70s Gibson Deluxe – all other parts are original. The beautiful cherry-red finish is still rich and bright in color, there is some minor play wear and weather-checking on the body. The two original Gibson humbuckers have outputs of (B)8,36K and (N)7,50K and they just sound great in this guitar. The complete electronic is original with original pots dating to 21st week of 1964 and two Spraque “black beauty” capacitors. The guitar comes in it’s original black Gibson softcase.
