The original 1964 ES-335 guitars in Cherry are always referred to be the “Clapton” guitars since Eric Clapton used a 1964 model and is famous for that unique tone. The 1964 Es models are among the last ones with the “old” golden era specs and this one is the Gibson Custom Shops homage to that year. Round neck, in between the 59 and 61 shape, block inlays and the beautiful “Sixties Cherry” finish. The Murphy Lab Ultra Light Aged finish gives you that stiff hard vintage feeling lacquer and nice weather checking. Beautiful sounding guitar!
