This is a very special guitar! This 2006 Gibson Custom Shop 1959 Les Paul Reissue was hand picked at the former German Gibson distributors warehouse out of dozens of Les Pauls they received in late 2006 for the best top, color and sound. It was heavily used live within its for 4 years after it retired as a living room guitar. There are several marks and dings and dongs, belt buckle wear and a few deeper scars on the back and in the cutaway. The pickups have been upgraded to double white Kloppmann 59s as well as the tone caps. Otherwise its original. A breathtakingly beautiful maple top and a super nice slightly faded Iced Tea color make it a unique and outstanding piece. In 2006/2007 Gibson used “real” Honduran Mahogany – at least the same species which makes those guitars really sought ater. The guitar sounds really good – the neck is the typical beefy version of that period. Comes incl. original case and COA.
