1990 Gibson Les Paul Classic in All-Gold finish – one of the first Classic models still with a 4-digit serial number and no green inlays like later models. The Classics habe been introduced in 1989 with some appointments that related to the original 50s models such as the ABR-1 bridge. It also still has the “Les Paul Model” logo on the headstock. The guitar is in great shape and only shows minor play wear. It’s completely covered with weather checking and has two marks on the top that might be caused by a Bigsby that was installed at some point. The machine heads are newer Klusons and the two volume pots have been replaced but the tone knobs are original and date to 1990. The two 500T and 498R pickups sounds typically hot and the slim taper neck plays great. Really rare and cool guitar with a great vibe! Comes in it’s original brown Gibson USA case.
