Super clean 1979 Gibson Les Paul Artist purchased from the widow of the original owner who bought it new in Frankfurt. The “Active” Les Pul Artist. Marketed as the “ultimate ultimate” Les Paul back then. It features a three piece maple neck with walnut stripes, ebony fingerboard, “Active” pearl inlay, gold plated Schaller tuners, mahogany body with maple top and the then new TP6 tailpiece. The active Moog electronics known frommthe RD Artist model can be operated with a master volume pot, bass and tone pots and three mode-switches for “Expansion”, “Compression” and “Bright”. An experimental guitar for sure. You will find a lot of unusual sounds that make you use the guitar in a very different way. The guitar was taken care of very well, it was well preserved and is ready for the next life! Comes incl. original Gen.2 protector case.
