1971 Gibson ES-335 TD Stoptail Conversion
Cherry
Art.Nr. GI71ES335CH957839
Stunning 1971 Gibson ES-335 in Vibrant Cherry Finish! This iconic semi-hollowbody is in excellent condition and a true vintage gem. It remains all original, aside from a professionally done stoptail conversion (comes with period correct 1968-1973 lightweight aluminum stoptail!) that enhances sustain and tuning stability without sacrificing its vintage vibe. The guitar also features a nearly 40-year-old expertly repaired headstock crack — rock-solid and stable, with no impact on tone or playability. Our luthier Mathias Schindehuette just did a fresh fret-job with Jescar 51100 wire. Non original pickguared and one newer knob. Both pickups are the original Patent Number T-top humbuckers, delivering that classic early-’70s Gibson tone: warm, articulate, and full of character. The tuners were at one point replaced with Grovers, but have since been correctly restored to the original Gibson/Kluson “double-ring” tuners — a big plus for vintage purists. This ES-335 plays and sounds fantastic, whether you’re on stage, in the studio, or just enjoying it at home. Includes a black Gibson hardshell case with plush blue interior. A remarkable vintage instrument with tone, history, and soul — ready for its next chapter.
