1969 Gibson Les Paul Standard – Goldtop (68
specs)

Art.Nr. GI69LPSTDGT540757

Early 1969 Gibson Les Paul Goldtop with all 1968 specs besides no i-dot and big headstock. Still one-piece body and neck and the long neck tenon! Beautiful guitar with a dream of a neck – feels and plays just right. One of the last ones with those desired specs – just a little later in 1969 they changed to transitional neck tenon and three piece neck and body. Really great sounding guitar too. There is some grain on the back of the body that is either just wood grain or a factory repair that was done before the guitar was painted – anyway, it’s 100% original finish and if something was done it was only in Kalamazoo, Michigan. It’s been played so there are some minor changed: non-original trussrod cover and jack plate, newer knobs, pickups have been out (soldered) but original, The upper ABR post has been doweled and re-drilled (likely it was loose). The rings around the pickups are also factory original – called “goof-hiders”. The guitar comes incl. original rectangle case early 70s with purple plush.
