1962 Gibson SG/Les Paul Standard - Cherry

This is an early 1962 Les Paul/SG we purchased from the second owner who bought it in 1965 in a guitar shop in Sweden. He loved it so much that he played it util he went to bed and put it on the floor right next to him. When he woke up he didn't remember the guitar was there and... this is why it has a headstock repair. The repair was done long ago and the top and the edges of the headstock have been sanded for whatever reason and it has been oversprayed. There was a Nashville bridge post installed but the original ABR posts are back on. Besides that and changed tuners the guitar is all original. The pots are dated 134.61.40 (40th week of 1961) and the two original PAFs read 8,24K(N) und 7,41K(B). The weight is 3,40kg. It has the smooth transitional heel that appeared in early 1961 and changed within in 1962. If you are looking for a sweet PAF Gibson solid body guitar with great tone... you might consider this one since none of the "issues" mentioned above affect the tone or playability and it's priced well under the all original examples from this era. Comes including it's original black Gibson case.
