1960 Fender Stratocaster - 3-tone Sunburst
Super cool late 1960 Fender Stratocaster in 3-tone Sunburst in very good condition. First of all: It sounds and plays amazing! One of the best slabboard Strats we've ever had for sure. It's got that certain tone&feel you're looking for when you go vintage. As on most 1960 models, that color on the front of the body has changed to a rater 2-tone Sunburst. The finish is heavily checked and worn off on some spots, partly due to a contact with humidity in the past. The guitar is all original and has untouched solder joints. The 3 orig. "black-bottom pickups are well-balanced and have readings of Neck= 5,74K, Middle= 5,86K and Bridge= 5,78K. The guitar has all the desirable Pre-CBS features such as: green guard, Spagetti-Logo, clay dot - inlays and slapbboard neck. Actually a really nice feeling neck not as thin as in 1959/early 1960 and with very comfortable rounded fingerboard edges. This is a neck that fits like a glove! The neck is pencil dated 11/61, the 3-pots are original Stackpole pots, stamped 304.60.43 (43rd week of 1960!). The guitar comes in its orig. brown Fender tolex case w/yellow plush.
